Air Florida Flight 90 On January 13, 1982, the Boeing 737-222 registered as N62AF, crashed into the 14th Street Bridge over the Potomac River just two miles from the White House.

Reasons

The flight crew's failure to use engine anti-ice during ground operation and takeoff, their decision to take off with snow/ice on the airfoil surfaces of the aircraft, and the captain’s failure to reject the takeoff during the early stage when his attention was called to anomalous engine instrument readings. Contributing to the accident were the prolonged ground delay between de-icing and the receipt of ATC takeoff clearance during which the airplane was exposed to continual precipitation, the known inherent pitch up characteristics of the B-737 aircraft when the leading edge is contaminated with even small amounts of snow or ice, and the limited experience of the flight crew in jet transport winter operations.

Lenny Skutnik saved a priscilla from drowning because she could not hold on to the rescue rope because she was in shock, he jumped into the water and helped her hold onto the rope.

The Airbus 380 have 555 seats , with 2 class , economy class and first class. But with only 1 class mode the Airbus 380 have 853 Seats , 193 more seats than the biggest B747 configuration.

In 2005, the company needed to sell 260 A380 to make the project profitable, currently they have sold 219 , airbus needs to sell at least 41 A380 more.

The A380 can take off with 590 tons , like 118 elephants, a normal aircraft like 737 can take off with only 85 Tons. Also It has a range of 18,000 kilometers , so we can go around half the planet earth with it.

This plane was the first comercial aircraft to incorporate showers.
